Only not long ago one began with bringing awareness to necessity to reduce negative results of industrial activity. At the end of 2006 the European Union implemented a revolutionary regulation concerning management of chemicals – REACH – aiming to achieve that, by 2020, chemicals are produced and used in ways possibly safe for human health and the environment. Reading the entire report gives a picture of the level of knowledge, and thus shows the courses of action to be taken by Member States and their authorities and advisory and non-governmental organizations to increase the level of consumer knowledge, and thus ensure the safe use of chemicals everyday.
